The correct option is A 1321
Let the numerator of the rational number be x.
Then, the denominator of the rational number =x+8.
the rational number = xx+8.
If the numerator is increased by 17 and the denominator is decreased by 1, the number becomes 32.
x+17x+7=32
2(x+17)=3(x+7) ....[On cross multiplying]
2x+34=3x+21
2x3x=2134 ....[Transposing 3x to LHS and 34 to RHS]
x=13x=13
xx+8=1313+8=1321
Hence, the required, rational number = 1321.
