Solution

Dear student,

14% solution of H2SO4 means that 14 g H2SO4 is present in 100 g solvent i.e. 14 g H2SO4 is present and 86 g of solvent is present.
Density of solution = MassVolume
Volume = MassDensity = 100 g1.05 g /mL = 95.238 mL
So, 95.238 mL of solution contains 14 g H2SO4
1 mL of solution will contain1495.238 g of sulphuric acid
1000 mL will have 1495.238 ×1000 g sulphuric acid = 147.0 f of sulphuric acid
Molarity = Mole of sulphuric acidVolume of solvent in L = 147.0/981 L = 1.5 M
