Solution

Dear Student
Use the formula of volumetric thermal expansion , V = V(1 + 3α × T) because , Y = 3αwe know, density = mass/Volume , because mass can't be change if temperature change . so, formula of thermal expansion for density,d = d(1 + 3α × T)d= d-0.1%×dd = d( 1- 0.001)0.999×d = d (1 + 3α × T)0.999 = (1 + 3α × T)-0.001 = 3α × T-0.001 = 3α(T -0)Given α = 10-5 /°C-10-3 = 3×10-5×T-100 = 3×TT = -1003 = -33.33 °C
