The dependent of binding energy per nucleon (BN) on the mass number A is represented by
The average binding energy per nucleon for light nuclei is small. The mass numbers ranging from 2 to 20 are relatively more stable for whom we have sharply defined peaks. For mass numbers from 30 to 120 the graph will have a broad maximum and as the mass number increases further the B.E./nucleon falls gradually. These details need to be checked in the graph.
