(c) What is the purpose of keeping snail in test-tube B?

The purpose of keeping the snail in test tube B is to have the production of carbon dioxide from the snail when it respires. This carbon dioxide would be used by the plant for photosynthesis. Rate of photosynthesis will increase with the increase in concentration of carbon dioxide.
