(i) Name the kind of vibrations.

(ii) Give one example of such vibrations.

(iii) Why is the amplitude of vibrations gradually decreasing ?

(iv) What happens to the vibrations of the body after some time ?

(i) It is a damped vibration.
(ii) The vibrations of a simple pendulum in the air.
(iii) Damped oscillation occurs in the presence of a resistive force due to which the energy of the oscillating body decreases and hence it's amplitude of oscillation also decreases and finally the body stops to oscillate such oscillations are called damped oscillation.
(iv) The body will finally stop vibrating.
