In the given figure, A is the pollen grain and B is the stigma.
The transfer of pollen grain from the anther to the surface of stigma is called pollination. In some plants, pollen fall on the stigma of the same flower and it is called self pollination while in some plants, pollen reach stigma with help of some external agents such as wind, water, air, insects etc. and it is called cross pollination.
