Question

The diameter of a circular field is 98m. If a child walks at the rate of 14m per minute, how long will it take to walk round the field once?

Open in App
Solution

Solution :
Diameter of circular field = 98 m
therefore , Radius of circular field = 98/2 m = 49m

we know that Circumference of circular field = 2πr
= 2 *22/7*49
= 2*22*7
=44*7
Circumference of Circular Field =308m
Speed of Child = 14m / min
Therefore , time taken by the child to walk round the field = circumference of circle/speed of child
= 308 /14
time taken =22 minutes

Hope this helps You!!

Thank You!!!

Cheers!
