Given
Diameter = 28 cm
Radius of bottle, r = 14 cm

Height, h = 40 cm

Total surface area of a cylinder
=Curved surface area+2×Base Area

=2πrh+2πr2

=2πr(h+r)

=2×227×14×(40+14)

=2×22×2×54

=4752 cm2

Therefore, total surface area of the bottle = 4752 sq cm.
