first concentric circle have commen centre.
inner circle denotes the pool and outer circle denotes the pool with carpet.
D is the widthof carpet.
given Diameter of inner and outer circles are 6cm and 9cm respectively.
radius = diameter2

therefore r1=3cm
r2=4.5cm
The width of carpet (w) = r2r1
w=4.53=1.5cm

So, option B is the answer.
