The diameter of a semicircular grass plot is 14 m. Find the cost of fencing the plot at Rs. 10 per metre.

Diameter, $d=14m$.
$\therefore$ Radius of the plot, $r=\frac{14}{2}=7m$.
To fence the semicircular plot, we have to find the perimeter of it.
Perimeter of a semicircle, $P=(\pi +2)\times r$ units
$=(\frac{22}{7}+2)\times 7m$
$=\left(\frac{22+14}{7}\right)\times 7m$
$P=36m$
Cost of fencing the plot for $1metre=Rs.10$.
$\therefore$ Cost of fencing the plot for $36$ metres $=Rs.36\times 10=Rs.360$.
