Given that,
The diameter of the wheel is 70 cm.
It covers a distance of 110 m.
To find out,
How many times will the wheel revolve in order to cover the distance?
We know that, the distance covered by the wheel in one revolution = circumference of the wheel.
Radius of the wheel =702
=35 cm
We know that, the circumference of a circle is 2πr
So, the circumference of the wheel =2×227×35[∵ π=227]
=220 cm
Also, 100 cm=1 m
Hence, 220 cm=2.2 m
Now, if the wheel covers 2.2 m in one revolution, then,
Number of revolutions it will take to cover 110 m=1102.2
=50
Hence, the wheel will revolve 50 times in order to cover a distance of 110 m.
