The correct option is C 2.8 cm
Given,

Distance between sun and earth =1011 m

object distance, u=1011 m.

Diameter of the sun (Ds)=1.4×109 m

Focal length of concave mirror (f)=2 m

From the given data, it is clear that the u>>f. So it should be considered that the object is placed at infinity. For a concave mirror, when an object is placed at infinity, the image will be formed at focus. i.e. Image distance v=f=2 m

we know that,

h0|u|=hi|v|

Substituting the values in the formula,

vu=hih0

(2)1011=hi1.4×109

hi=2×1.4×1091011=2.8×102 m or 2.8 cm

Hence, the diameter of the image will be |hi|=2.8 cm.

Thus, option (c) is the correct answer.
