Question

The diameter of the wheel of a cart is 1.05 m. How much distance will cart cover in 1000 rotations of the wheel?

Open in App
Solution

1 rotation is equal to the circumference

Now, circumference of a circle = 2πr or πd.

Circumference =π×1.05
=3.29867 m

Now, as cart covered 1000 rotations, the distance is 3.29867×1000=3298.67 m

(approximately =3299 m)
