The correct option is B osmotic Diarrhoea is condition of frequent passage of watery stools. There are two types of diarrhoea:
Osmotic diarrhoea: Here, the lack of enzymes results in undigested food which increases the osmolality in the lumen. Hence, the water is not reabsorbed. An example is lactase deficiency. In this case, due to the lack of lactase enzyme, lactose is not digested.
Secretory diarrhoea: Bacteria like cholera secrete toxins which enters crypt cells and stimulate increased secretion of fluids. This increased fluid content exceeds the limit of absorptive mechanism and causes massive diarrhoea.
