Solution

Let r and R be the radii of inner and outer surfaces of a cylindrical tube,
Length of tube(h)= 14cm.
Volume of the tube =176cm3
πh(R2r2)=176227×14(R2r2)=176R2r2=176×722×14=4 ....(i)
Difference of outer and inner surface of the tube = 88cm3
2πh(Rr)=882×227×14(Rr)=88Rr=88×72×14×22 ...(ii)
But R2r2=4(R+r)(Rr)=4(R+r)×1=4R+r=4 ...(iii)
Adding (ii) and (iii),
2R=5R=52=2.5cmR+r=42.5+r=4r=42.5=1.5
Outer radius = 2.5cm
and inner radius = 1.5cm
