It is given that
The difference between integers
Case (i) $x - (- 6) = - 5 [When x is greater]$
$\Rightarrow x + 6 = - 5$
$\Rightarrow x = - 5 - 6$
$\Rightarrow x = - 5 - 6$
$∴ x = - 11$
Case (ii) $- 6 - x = - 5 [When -6 is greater]$
$\Rightarrow - x = - 5 + 6$
$\Rightarrow - x = 1$
$∴ x = - 1$
So, there will be two values of $x = - 1, - 11$
