It is given that, the difference between the measure of an angle x and thrice its complement is 50°.
Complement of x=90°x
Since x and thrice its complement differs by 50°, we have,
x3(90°x)=50°
x3×90°+3x=50°
x+3x=270°+50°
4x=320°

Hence, the value of x is equal to 80°.
