Given that,

The difference between the radii of two circles is 4 cm.

Let the diameters of the circles be d1, d2 and their radii be r1, r2 respectively.

Then, r1r2=4 cm

Now, 2r1=d1 and 2r2=d2.
Difference in their diameters is
d1d2 = 2r12r2 = 2(r1r2) = 2×4 = 8

Hence, the difference between their diameters is 8 cm.
