Solution

Difference between C.I and S.I = Rs. 20
Rate (R) =4% p.a
Period (n) = 2 years
Let principal (P) = Rs. 100
then S.I =PRT100=100×4×2100=Rs.8
and C.I =P[(1+R100)n1]
=Rs.100[(1+4100)21]
=Rs.100[(2625)21]=100[6766251]
=100[676625625]
=Rs.100×51625=Rs.20425
Difference between C.I and S.I
=Rs.2042581=Rs.20420025=Rs.425
If difference is 425, then principal = Rs. 100
If difference is Re. 1, then principal =Rs.100×254×20=Rs.12500
Sum = Rs. 12500
