Solution

Concept : 1 Mark
Application : 1 Mark
Calculation : 1 Mark

Let the numbers be x and y.

According to given condition,

x=3y(i)

xy=26(ii)

On solving (i) and (ii) we get,

x=3y [From (i)]

Substituting value of x in (ii)

3yy=26

y=13

Now, x=3y

x=3(13)x=39

y=13,x=39

The required numbers are 13 and 39.
