Let the numbers be $x$ and $y$.

According to given condition,

$x=3y\dots \dots \left(i\right)$

$x-y=26\dots \dots \left(ii\right)$

On solving (i) and (ii) we get,

$x=3y$ [From (i)]

Substituting value of x in (ii)

$3y-y=26$

$y=13$

Now, $x=3y$

$x=3\left(13\right)\Rightarrow x=39$

$\therefore y=13,x=39$

$\therefore$ The required numbers are 13 and 39.
