Let two numbers be $x$ & $y$

$x-y=26$ ____ (1)

$x=3y$ ____ (2)

substituting (2) in (1) we get

$3y-y-26$

$2y=26$

$y=13$

$x=3y$ from (2)

$x=3\times 13$

$x=39$

we need to find sum of two numbers

$x+y=39+13$

$=52$
