The correct option is C 124
Let the large number be x and the small number be y

Then difference of two numbers =xy=96 ----- (1)

The larger number is 12 more than 4 times the smaller number: x=12+4y ------ (2)

Put the value of x in equation (1)

Then, 12+4yy=96

3y=9612

y=843=28

Now substitute the value of y in equation (1)

x28=96

x=96+28

x=124

Therefore the large number is 124.
