The digestive system processes food into usable and unusable materials. The usable materials are sent to the body's cells as food. What happens to unusable materials?
Both are correct.
The large intestine stores excess food, indigestible food, and other waste material until the body is ready to get rid of it. Whereas the pancreas makes juices that help digest food in the small intestine. The pancreas also produces insulin, which changes sugar in the blood into a form usable by the body's cells. The right ventricle, one of the chambers of the heart, does not remove food from the body, but it helps eliminate waste from the blood. Blood that flows into the right ventricle is filled with carbon dioxide, a waste gas. After the blood leaves the right ventricle, it goes into the lungs, where it disposes of the waste gas .The function of the small intestine is to help digest food, not store waste.
