Length (l) $= 10 m$

Width (w) $= 9 m$

Height (h) $= 8 m$

Area of whitewashing is $= 2 h (l + w) + l w$

$= 2 \times 8 \times (10 + 9) + 10 \times 9$

$= 16 \times 19 + 90$

$= 304 + 90$

$= 394 m^{2}$

Cost of whitewashing is ₹8.50 per m².

The required cost is

$= 394 \times 8.50$
