Solution

The correct option is B 16
The actual dimensions of the room is 10 ft×8 ft×8 ft.

The dimensions of the scale model is 20 in×16 in×16 in.

Scale Factor=ScaleActual

Scale Factor=20 in×16 in×16 in10 ft×8 ft×8 ft

1 ft=12 in

Scale Factor=20 in×16 in×16 in(10×12) in×(8×12) in×(8×12) in

Scale Factor=20(10×12)×16(8×12)×16(8×12)

Cross has to be replaced by comma because each dimension has to be calculated separately.

Scale Factor=2(1×12),2(1×12),2(1×12)

Scale Factor=1(1×6),1(1×6),1(1×6)

Scale Factor=1×16,1×16,1×16

Each dimension has been multiplied by a factor of 16, hence, the scale factor is 16.
