So if 'r' is the bond distance, the dipole moment of Hcl is (0.17e)r
r = (0.17×1.6×1019C ) r
= (1.03×3.33×1030Cm )
r = (1.03×3.3356×1030Cm ) / (0.17×1.6×1019C )
= So the bond distance = 1.27×1010 m
= 127 pm
