Solution

Given that the distance between City A and City B is 6 cm and that 1 cm on map represents 200 km
Using unitary method,
If 1 cm→200 km
then, 6 cm→200 × 6 km
⇒1200 km
We know that, 1 km = 1000 m
∴ 1200 km = 1200 × 1000 m
⇒1200000 m
Hence, the actual distance between City A and City B is 1200000 m
