Given,
Radius of the isolated spherical capacitor, R=1 m

Radius of circular plates of PPC, r=402=20 mm

Capacitance of isolated spherical capacitor is given by,
Csphere=4πε0R=4πε0×1...(1)Capacitance of parallel plate capacitor is given by, Cppc=ε0Ad=ε0π(20×103)2d...(2) According to the problem statement,

Csphere=Cppc

4πε0×1=ε0π(20×103)2d

4πε0×1=4πε0×104d

d=104 m=0.1 mm
