This point lies on the plane, x + y + z = 17λ + 3 + 2λ + 4 + 2λ + 5 = 17 5λ = 5λ = 1So, the coordinates of the point areλ+3, 2λ+4, 2λ+5=1+3, 2 1+4, 2 1+5=4, 6, 7Now, the distance between the points 4, 6, 7 and 3, 4, 5 is3-42+4-62+5-72=1+4+4=3 units
