Let the speed of Mr. B be x kmph.

$∴$ Distance covered by Mr. B = 6x km and

Distance covered by Mr. A will be = 6 $\times$ 4 = 24 km

$6 x + 24 = 42$

$\Rightarrow 6 x = 18$

$\Rightarrow x = 3$

So, the speed of B = 3 kmph.
