Solution

Given: Distance between two planets =2.496×1011 m,

Distance between two stars =4.84×108 m

Total distance =2.496×1011 - 4.84×108 = 2.496×1000×108 - 4.84×108

= (2496–4.84) ×108 m= 2491.16×108 m = 2.491×1011m
