Now substitute those values in the above formula, You can take either one of those as the first point, I am taking (-6,8) as the first point,

=> The distance between them = $\sqrt{(0-(-6){)}^2+(0-8{)}^2}$
=> $\sqrt{(36+64)}=\sqrt{100}=10$
