The doctor replied to Arun's dad" it's a simple fracture, don't worry. He'll be alright in 5 weeks. Your son is lucky that he has received green stick fracture or else it could have taken 12 weeks to recover" Arun's dad wondered what could be the other fractures be? Help him find the right answer.
Spiral and green stick
There are two simple fractures. Green stick fracture and the other spiral fracture.
Green stick fracture usually occur to children and in this fracture only one side of the bone is broken while the other remains only bent. The second type of simple fracture is spiral where the bones just twist apart. This happens when a force is applied along the axis of the bone.
