Solution
The correct option is D Both A and C
The three-domain system of classification was proposed by Carl Woese. The domain system of classification was criticized by many scientists. There were three main scientists who were against this system of classification, Radhey Gupta, Ernst Mayr and Thomas Cavalier. The drawbacks of this system were the similarity in the cell membrane structure of different organisms like the bacteria and the archae which were classified in the different groups. The sequences of features and the polygenies of the conserved proteins are not consistent. These were the points which were used for classification of the organisms on the basis of evolutionary relationship but did not represent the consistency.
