The correct option is A $2 R r / (R + r)$
By wheatstone condition, the circuit becomes as given.
$\frac{1}{R_{e} f f} = \frac{1}{4 R} + \frac{1}{2 r} + \frac{1}{4 r}$
$= \frac{1}{2 R} + \frac{1}{2 r}$
$R_{e f f} = \frac{2 R r}{R + r}$
