The correct option is C tan1(2)
So, here, when we take an axis inclined at angle θ to dipole axis,
and if the net field from that inclined axis makes angle θ, then,
tanα=tanθ2
cotα=2tanθ......................(1)
So, from figure,clearly,
α+θ=90
therefore, θ=90α
So, tanθ=tan(90α)
tanθ=cotα...... (using trigonometric relation).............(2)
From eqns.(1) and (2),
tanθ=2tanθ
tan2θ=2
tanθ=2
θ=tan12
