Weight of 0.3 mole of AB2=24g
Let x and y be the atomic weights of A and B
Then, 2x+3y=260.2=130⟶(1)
x+2y=240.3=80⟶(2)
Substituting x=80−2y in Equation (1)
⇒2(80−2y)+3y=130⇒y=30
∴x=80−2(30)=20
∴ Atomic weights of A and B are 20,30 respectively.
