Solution

Higher atomic mass Al or Cl

  1. The atomic mass of an element is the mass of one atom of that element.
  2. On moving from left to right in a period, the atomic number increases and generally so does the atomic mass.
  3. The atomic mass of Alis 26.98amu and the Atomic mass of Cl is 35.453amu.
  4. Due to the elements being arranged in the increasing order of their atomic numbers in the periodic table. So, Cl has a higher atomic mass than Al.
