Solution

Dear student,

Answer is 4,-3 respectively

Explanation as follows:

So at first the elevator starts from the ground floor and goes up to the 4th floor ,{taking each level as 1 unit}

So displacement can be taken as 4 {since lift goes from ground to fourth (ie, 0-1,1-2,2-3,3-4)and taking upward as positive direction}

Next, it drops a person and comes down to the first floor :; Displacement will be -3 {since lift moves from 4th to 1 (ie, 4-3, 3-2, 2-1) in opposite direction (downward)}

Hope you understood
