Krebs cycle is the stepwise oxidative and cyclic degradation of acetyl CoA derived from pyruvate. It is a series of chemical reactions that occurs inside the mitochondria of aerobic organisms that aims at releasing the stored energy of organic food substances through the stepwise oxidation of acetyl CoA.
It was discovered by Hans Krebs.

In step 3 and 4 of Krebs cycle there are 2 successive oxidative decarboxylation processes i.e. removal of a carboxyl group. Oxidative decarboxylation process leads to the release of CO2.

Pyruvic acid is the end product of glycolysis. Glycolysis is the process of partial oxidation of glucose or similar hexose sugar into 2 molecules of pyruvic acid through a series of enzyme mediated reactions releasing some energy (as ATP) and reducing power as NADH (reduced nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide).

In microorganisms, the term fermentation is more commonly used instead of anaerobic respiration. The type of respiration is known after the name of the end product like alcoholic fermentation when ethanol is obtained as end product and lactic acid fermentation when lactic acid is obtained as end product. CO2 is evolved in some cases.

Citric acid is not known as the end product in any of the respiratory processes.
