Solution

The correct option is C Nerve fibre
Brain is the part of central nervous system. It integrates and stores the sensory information from external and internal sense organs and commands different organs to respond accordingly. Nerve cell is the functional and structural unit of nerve fibres that is composed of axon, dendrites and soma. Energy for conduction of impulse is provided by action potential across the axon’s membrane. Movement of Na+ ions inside the axon membrane and that of K+ ions outside the membrane via ATP energized pump generates action potential which in turn generates nerve impulse. Liver is the largest gland and serves to keep the blood content constant and in blood detoxification. Stimulating agents are the chemical drugs given for different medical purposes. Correct answer is B.
