Enzyme lipase:-

  1. Basically the fat hydrolyzing enzymes are known as the lipase enzymes which are produced by a variety of organs including the pancreas, intestine, gastric juice, adipose tissues, lysosomes and blood.
  2. Triglycerides and the other food fats are basically hydrolyzed to the glycerol and the fatty acids which is an esterase enzyme subclass that will split ester into an acid and alcohol.
  3. Actually the main function of the lipase enzyme is the hydrolysis of fats.
  4. Lipase enzyme catalyzes the breakdown of the triglycerides into the fatty acids and the glycerol.
