The general equation of progressive wave,
Y=Asin(wtkx+ϕ) . . . . .(1)
Given,
Y=4sin[π(t5x9)+π6]. . . . .(2)
Comparing equation (1) and (2), we get
w=π5, k=π9, ϕ=π6
Amplitude A=4cm
we know that, propagation constant,
k=2πλ=π9
λ=18cm
Velocity, v=wk
v=1.8cm/s
And the frequency
f=12πw=12π×π5,
f=2.5Hz
