The correct option is D major axis is x=1 4x2+3y2−8x+6y−5=0 ⇒4(x2−2x+1)+3(y2+2y+1)=5+3+4 ⇒4(x−1)2+3(y+1)2=12 ⇒(x−1)23+(y+1)24=1
Hence the axes of the ellipse is parallel to coordinate axes ∴ centre is at (1,−1)
From the equation b>a, so ellipse is vertical ellipse.
