Given, quadratic polynomial $y = 3 x^{2} + 6 x - 1$
Where $a = 3, b = 6$ and $c = - 1$
So, the equation of axis of symmetry is
$x = - \frac{b}{2 a} \Rightarrow x = - \frac{6}{2 \times 3} ∴ x = - 1$
