The equation of any circle through their points of intersection is
x2+y2a2+λ(xcosα+ysinαp)=0
Its centre =(λcosα2,λsinα2)
But the line xcosα+ysinα=p is a diameter of the circle.
(λcosα2)cosα+(λsinα2)sinαp=0
λ=2p
