The coordinates of the end points of latus rectum for parabola y2=8x are (2,4) and (2,4).

The equation of the normal at point (x1,y1) on y2=4ax is
yy1=y12a(xx1)

For the given parbola y2=8xa=2
Putting (x1,y1)=(2,4) in above equation we get normal equation as
x+y6=0
Similarly, the other equation of the normal at (2,4) is
xy6=0
