Question

The equilibrium constant for the reaction :

N2(g)+O2(g)2NO(g) at 2000K is 4×104.

In presence of catalyst the equilibrium is established ten times faster at the same temperature.

Solution

The correct option is A 4×104
The presence of catalyst doesn't affect the equilibrium constant of a reaction. It changes the rate of forward reaction and rate of backward reaction in such way that equilibrium constant doesn't change.

Hence, option C is constant
