The equilibrium product concentration appears in the numerator of the equilibrium constant expression. The equilibrium constant is ratio of the velocity constant of forward and backward reactions. It is also the ratio between the product of molar concentrations of the products to that of the product of the molar concentrations of the reactants with each concentration term raised to a power equal to stoichiometric coefficient in the balanced chemical equation.

For the general chemical reaction aA+bBcC+dD, the equilibrium constant expression is

K=KfKb=[C]c[D]d[A]a[B]b
Here, Kf and Kb are the velocity constant of forward and backward reactions respectively.
